Family Community Resource Center (North Lawndale)

Children build social emotional and literacy skills as they investigate facial expressions on spinning dials, tuck into a cozy corner for a calming break, practice breathing techniques, play word and rhyming games, and share memories while looking through the community album. The Tell Me A Story bench communicates, “When you tell stories, you build your children’s early literacy skills and emotional connection to you” and a custom mural created by a local artist features tips to manage “big feelings.”
