Existing green space in public spaces is an inviting location for a Playful Learning installation. A playful learning installation along a pathway of a boulevard provides a space to stop and play. The boulevard is a place where already existing programming exists therefore providing ample foot traffic.
With this installation, we wanted to make sure that it was visible from the street (while driving or walking) and used existing elements in the boulevard to “mathematize” the space. Community members selected where along the boulevard the installation would best be suited and what colors for the installation would best fit within the community.
